Teeth Whitening Safety
As with any new health regimen, it is always a good idea to consult a health professional (in this case your dentist) before using household teeth whitening kits. Although home teeth whitening kits are safe for many people, there are several situations where it may not be suitable for some people to use them.
Eat some cheese
Eating cheese is another way to clean your teeth and keep them white, while the natural minerals it contains will make your enamel stronger. “It has calcium in it for the end, which is really good for your teeth,” says Marques. “White cheese is better,” with cheddar being one of the most successful because the majority of its purifying properties lie in the hard surface structure, which ensures that softer cheeses such as brie and blue cheese do not produce the same results. Practice good oral hygiene
The simplest and most effective way to maintain whiteness is through good oral hygiene. At the very least, it means brushing for the necessary four minutes each day–two in the morning and two in the evening. “There is some evidence that powered toothbrushes are better, particularly those with small heads, but if you have a good technique, it doesn’t matter what you use,” says Prof Damien Walmsley, medical advisor to the British Dental Association. Take time to brush all corners of your mouth and put your toothbrush at a 45-degree angle to your gums. Follow up with flossing and mouth washing for even better results.
Brush with baking soda toothpaste
A comparison study in 2011 found that toothpaste containing baking soda was significantly more effective in the prevention of stains and whitening of teeth than a regular silica-based toothpaste. You can also clear any stains by combining a tablespoon of baking soda with a small glass of water and applying it directly to the teeth using a toothbrush. However, because baking soda is an abrasive, it can damage the tooth enamel: minimize the risk by doing so only occasionally. Use Apple Cider Vinegar
Acetic acid, which is the main active ingredient in apple cider vinegar, effectively kills bacteria. The antibacterial property of vinegar is what makes it useful for cleaning your mouth and whitening your teeth
